Local Volvo retailer to showcase the future of cars

A car retailer in Poole has teamed up with energy solutions company, Hausch UK, to showcase the electric future of cars.

On Wednesday 17th April, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, Volvo Cars Poole on Ringwood Road is hosting a free event for the public to demystify the subject of electric cars.

A selection of the Volvo T8 Hybrid model range will be on display in the showroom, and Simon Chiu, Product Trainer at Volvo Car UK, will be leading a talk about the future of electric Volvo cars.

Hausch UK will present the thinking behind electric vehicle charging and sustainable energy as an intelligent solution for homeowners and businesses.

James Litton, General Manager and Director at Volvo Cars Poole, said: “We are excited to be hosting this event as we are committed to an electric future. By 2025, around 50 per cent of the cars Volvo produce and sell will be fully electric – and at this event we will talk through how we can achieve this.

“The T8 Hybrid uses a petrol engine in conjunction with an electric motor and delivers a no compromise mix of performance and efficiency, and we are looking forward to showcasing the model range at the event.”

Richard Winterbourne at Hausch UK, said: “We’re delighted to have partnered with Volvo Cars Poole to talk about the future of electric cars, as we are both passionate about the positive impact they will have on the environment in years to come.

“The showroom is an ideal place for this event as it gives guests the opportunity to explore the T8 Hybrid model range and understand the technology behind electric vehicles.”
