Bristol businesswoman becomes finalist in a national sales award

A LEADING business growth expert has been awarded for her work which has seen hundreds of firms grow their business - sometimes by up to three times their turnover.

Karen Dunne-Squire, 39, of sales training and consultancy firm Elation Experts was a finalist in the Sales Innovation Expo Awards 2017.

Hundreds of exhibitors took part in the event – but Karen was one of only a few to be awarded a finalist’s trophy in the category ‘Best Overall Innovation Award.’

The event recognised her work in creating the unique Three Pillars of Successful Selling tool, which focuses on helping small to medium sized businesses meet ambitious growth targets.

Karen, who has over 15 years’ experience in sales management and training is based in Britton Gardens, Kingswood, said: “I’m delighted to receive such recognition for all our hard work, which has been seven years in the making.

“The Three Pillars guarantees business growth and it’s exciting that the product has become so widely recognised by our peers.”

The Sales Innovation Expo Awards recognises innovation and cutting edge design in helping to optimise sales performance. There were 16 finalists in total – four finalists in each of the four categories.

Eddy Lawrance, group event director for the awards, said: “Not only has Elation Experts helped many businesses to vastly improve their sales performance, Karen also has a real passion for the sector and I personally value her opinion."

The Three Pillars carries out an audit on a business to see where they should focus their efforts.

The programme then looks at three areas of sales – process, activity and management – and has been guaranteed to enable firms to reach their growth aspirations.

Karen got the inspiration for the programme while working as a coach with small businesses, where she found they were sometimes faced with difficult choices.

Karen, who has worked in sales management and business development for multi-million pound corporations, said: “People who run small businesses are usually short on money and time.

“It’s vital they make the right decisions for their business, but are often faced with conflicting advice.  The Three Pillars highlights the areas to focus on which will lead to growth.”

Karen created the tool in 2010 and tested on a small sample group. It has since been used nationwide – reaching hundreds of businesses and thousands of business-people.

Karen, who is a regular on the speaking circuit where she shares her business growth expertise, set up her firm nearly eight years ago. It has been renamed and rebranded to become Elation Experts.
