The popular venue on Mill Lane has been significantly refurbished throughout to create a quintessentially British, cosy, country pub that offers a home from home setting, thanks to friendly staff, beautifully decorated interiors, great food and expertly chosen drinks ranges.
Deborah Parry, general manager at The George Inn Chef & Brewer, said: “We’ve had a fantastic time celebrating the reopening and our Bathampton neighbours really came out to support us. Our guests are at the heart of what we do, so it was great to be able to mark the reopening with the local community.
“We’ve already had great feedback on the refurbishment, both across the interior areas as well as the new planting, lighting and furniture that has been incorporated to enhance our exterior spaces. The George Inn Chef & Brewer is a relaxed destination whatever the occasion.
“The team and I can’t wait to welcome new and returning visitors to the George Inn Chef & Brewer very soon to show off the even better surroundings where they can enjoy fantastic food and a great selection of fine wines and cask ales.”
The new look George Inn has a great value two-course evening set menu available for £13.49 and served from 4pm Monday to Thursday. It includes favourites such as panko-coated calamari and hand-battered Atlantic cod and chips. On Sundays, the pub serves a fabulous selection of roasts – all served with buttered seasonal veg, homemade Yorkshire pudding, sage & onion stuffing, garlic & rosemary goose fat roast potatoes or minted baby potatoes with premium gravy.
